Celebrate National Nurses Week!

NGNA would like to wish all members a wonderful Nurses Week! This week, we encourage you to take time out to recognize colleagues for their achievements, and promote the nursing profession to others.

National Nurses Week is May 6-12, 2015. Wednesday, May 6th, is traditionally known as National Nurses Day. The closing of the week, May 12th, is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. In the spirit of Nurses Week, we would like to express our sincere thanks to every NGNA member, whether you are retired, a volunteer, a clinician, educator, policy leader or researcher. We appreciate your contribution to the improvement of the lives of older adults and their family caregivers everywhere.

NGNA’s tagline, Where Compassion Meets Purpose, perfectly exemplifies the commitment of our members. As nurses, your compassion is your foundation, reflected in the care you bring to older adults and the work you do for your colleagues. Thank you!

Enjoy this week, which is dedicated to you and your profession!
